Images - Rob de Loe

Minor White observed, “One should not only photograph things for what they are but for what else they are.” It's not necessary to embrace his complicated philosophy of life and photography to appreciate that this is good advice during a time when it can seem that everything has already been photographed. We can appreciate places and things for what they are, and we can see them for what else they are. The images in these galleries are divided into two groups that align very roughly with these two ways of seeing and making photographs.
